About Me

v21

I was born and raised in a small town in Ontario, Canada and I’ve loved writing and journalism for as long as I can remember. I’m mom to a laid-back baby boy and a spirited 3-year-old girl (my little Punky Brewster). I feel lucky to be married to the funniest guy I know.

After a ten year creative writing hiatus, I dusted off the pen/laptop to write children’s books. My previous writing experience includes a newspaper column for a large daily, freelancing for a lifestyle magazine, a book of essays about a quarter life crisis and a screenplay about a small town Canadian boy and his American girlfriend.

My other professional experience includes marketing, advertising, public relations and event planning. I’ve also volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations.

My interests are quite diverse as evidenced by the fact that I studied sports management, fashion and journalism in college. I love all things pop culture and trivia. In my car I’m usually listening to talk radio and shows like NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.
